Far too often, students with disabilities are left on the sidelines, not because they lack ability, but because they lack the support to truly thrive. Having spent the past two to three years directly working and advocating to dismantle these barriers, I have ensured that I am doing my part in combating these challenges. It wasn’t until a friend looked at me with tears in her eyes saying, “Thank you for making me feel seen”, that I knew I needed to turn my passion for advocacy into a platform because being ‘seen’ should not be a privilege for those with disabilities. “Through the Looking Glass” aims at expanding inclusive perspective through education, advocacy efforts, and social media.
